LONG STAY FARES

It is an additional faring option which allows you to attract customers by reduced prices when the stay in the hotel is longer then a treshhold defined by you in the entry.

Every room group can have only one long stay fare assigned. Each long stay fare scheme can contain more then one length definition - with different discount values: eg. -5% for staying over 8 to 10 days, -7% for staying over 10 days etc. Those durations can not overlap.

 

Add new long stay fare - less for more, more for less
Where?   Administration panel > Hotel offer > click on "+Add" on Long stay fares tab

To define a new long stay fare put it's grouping reference (name of the group of discounts), administrative description, details of duration and corresponding discount rates.


Modify long stay faring -  attracting customers
Where?   Administration panel > Hotel offer > Long stay fares

Click on the grouping reference of the long stay fare scheme and modify the data. The new definition will be applicable to all new reservations. Save afterwards or click "Go back" in your browser if you want to discard changes.


Fields

Grouping reference - textbox - unique name grouping the reduction rates into one promotional schema.

Description  - text area - explains the nature of the long stay faring, any comments for other users of the system (e.g. "for high standards rooms only". It is visible only in the administation panel.

Non-default, activated by client - selection of this field will make your special fare non-default, it will only be activated by client's choice. In other words if a customer finds a room via search panel, the promo will not be applied but if they go and click on a button representing promotion, it will be activated (so for example the price will be decreased). Thanks to this mechanism, you can apply different promotions to the same room group in an overlapping period of time, which previously was not possible. If the same customer then chooses another promo, the new one will be activated and the original one will be deactivated.

Duration - section - definition of the promotional faring:

  • Nigths booked - numerical textbox - minimum number of nights that the reservation needs to contain in order that promotion was applied.
  • % reduction - percentage value of reduction applied to the final room price. This value is applied to the base fare of a room for each night staring from the minimum number and on. Enetr without symbols (- nom %)
    Example:
    Nights booked: 2
    % reduction: 10%
    Base fare: 200PLN
    1 night reservation price: 200PLN
    2 nights reservation price:
    200PLN for 1st night + (200PLN - 200PLN * 10% discount) for 2nd night = 380PLN

  • Max days - numerical field - maximum number of days for which this percentage promo can be applicable. This optional field puts the limitation on the benefit that a guest will receive and in the same time enables a new type of promotion:

    Exanple:
    Nights booked: 3
    % reduction: 100%
    Base fare: 200PLN
    1 night reservation price: 200PLN
    2 nights reservation price: 200PLN for 1st night + 200 PLN for 2nd night = 400PLN
    3 nights reservation price: 200PLN for 1st night + 200 PLN for 2nd night + (200PLN - 200PLN * 100% discount) for 3rd night = 400PLN
    so BOOK 2 NIGHTS, PAY FOR 3 !

  • Delete? - if you wish to remowe a row, check the box and save changes using button on the bottum of the page.

    Each row will define a next level abov which, the % defined in this row will apply to the base fare.

Localized Promotion Names - section - translate the name to all languages activated on the hotel webpage:

  • Language code - language name / code
  • Label - name of the promotion translated into the indicated language, it will be displayed to the customer upon search
    Attention: To motivate travellers to book for longer periods, the name of the promotion will be displayed to them always when the search period will overlap with the promotion period, even if currently chosen number of nights would not yet entitle to benefit from  the reduction.

  • Delete - if you wish to remove specific translation, check the box and save changes.

Note: If a special fare is defined for a specific room grou, then the long stay fare will not be applied for the period of that special fare. In other words those promotions do not overlap and the special fare has a priority.
