BOOKING ENGINE CONFIGURATION

Groups all the configuration parameters which can modify the booking flow in the booking engine and customize reservation process.

All parameters marked with " * " are obligatory. Save them afterwads or hit "Go back" in your internet browser if you wish to discard your changes.

Attention!
Fields in this module are cashed (submission and retrieval from a quick memory), what in parctice means that their actualisation in the system after having them changed and submitted via Admi Panel will not always be immediate but may take up to about an hour. Since those parameters are relatively stable, it is enough.

Site configuration - section - defines the connection with your hotel's page and email account:

• page language - dropdown list - default language used during the booking process on hotel's page. The list of languages is predefined for your system but you can extend it.
• email address - textbox - email address of the hotel. All the emails sent to the client will have it as the return address. Also all reservation notifications (defined for the administrator to be immediately acknowledged about an online  reservationmade) will be sent to it.
• client site url - textbox - internet address of your hotel's site. Used among others to get the user back to the hotel site after performing payment on third party sites, if that's the chosen option

Note: In case your page will be only in one language and you don't want to bother giving both administrative names and names for the webpage of your hotel - for language defined as page language: the names for the web page will be automatically copied from the administrative name field upon saving a definition of a room or hotel.

Booking - section - core booking process parameters:

• autoconfirm reservation - dropdown list - when set to "yes", all clients reservations are automatically confirmed. Otherwise  - if "no" - administrator will have to confirm manually each reservation created by any client. Normally a complete or partial downpayment (see below) are enough to set this field to "yes".
• require payment - dropdown list - if it is set to "yes" client will be prompt for reservation payment. It will be redirected to a third party payment gateway of your choice and reservation will be only completed after the payment is done.
• reservation percentage fee - numerical textbox - only works when "require payment" is set to "yes". It is a percentage value of total reservation price that is required to be paid online to complete booking. The value can be set from 1 to 100%.
• max site room reservation - numerical textbox - it is the maximum number of rooms of one type that can be booked in one process from the hotel page.
• min reservation delay - numerical textbox - minimum number of days ahead from "today" for which a reservation can be made via the hotel page, can be used if you prefer to handle last minute reservations for example on the phone.
• max reservation days - numerical textbox - maximum allowed duration of one reservation done from the hotel page in days
• max reservation delay - numerical textbox - indicates how far ahead from "today" a reservation can be made. e.g a value of 90 indicates that reservations can be only created for days within about 3 months comming months.
• currency - information field - system currency. This currency is selected both for the client and admin site as default. If a customer decides to book in another currency, he will change it manually - and aftwerwards it will be recalculated into this currency for the Business statistics.
  Note: this currency is set during the initial setup of the application. It can be changed only via a requested development and requires a thorough preparation before it will be done - base fares need to be recalculated and system switched off for that maintenance.
